Note
The owner or master of a steamship to which these Regulations apply who contravenes any of these Regulations commits an offence against section 258 of the Navigation Act 1912. That section provides for a penalty not exceeding $10 000 or not exceeding 2 years imprisonment or both if the offender is a natural person, or not exceeding $20 000 if the offender is a corporation.
