A person who carries out a controlled activity without the approval of the Secretary commits an offence against section 183 of the Act. That section provides for a penalty of 250 penalty units for each such offence.

A building authority who fails to comply with this regulation commits an offence against section 186 of the Act. That section provides for a penalty of 50 penalty units for each such offence.
