CONFISCATION OF PROCEEDS OF CRIME ACT 1989 - SECT 17B
Forfeiture of relevant property
(1) The relevant property of a person is forfeited to the Crown-- (a) at the
end of the relevant period, or
(b) if an application for an exclusion order
is made--on the day on which the application is finally dismissed, including
an appeal, if any, or
(c) if an application to vary or set aside the
restraining order or confirmed freezing notice is made--on the day on which
the application is finally dismissed, including an appeal, if any.
(2) The
forfeiture takes effect in the same way as if a court had made a
forfeiture order in relation to the relevant property.
(3) Sections 19 and 21
apply to relevant property forfeited under this Division in the same way as
the sections apply to property forfeited under a forfeiture order made under
section 18.
