Effect of registration of interstate forfeiture orders
78 Effect of registration of interstate forfeiture orders
(1) A registered interstate forfeiture order may be enforced in New South
Wales as if it were a forfeiture order made under section 18 (1) at the time
of registration.
(2) This Act (other than section 92 (appeals)) applies to a
registered interstate forfeiture order as it applies to a forfeiture order
made under section 18 (1).
(3) A registered interstate forfeiture order does
not operate so as to vest property (or any estate, interest or right in
property) otherwise than in the Crown in right of New South Wales.
(4) A
registered interstate forfeiture order does not operate so as to vest property
in the Crown in right of New South Wales if the order has already operated to
vest the property in the Crown in some other capacity or in some other person
or entity.
