(1) An offender must not be directed to carry out community service work if, in performing the work, the offender would take the place of any other person who would otherwise be employed in that work as a regular employee.
(2) As far as practicable, a person giving directions to an offender--(a) must avoid any conflict with the offender's religious beliefs, and(b) in the case of an offender performing community service work under an intensive correction order or community correction order, must avoid any interference with the times (if any) at which the offender normally works or attends a school or other educational establishment.
