CRIMINAL PROCEDURE ACT 1986 - SECT 4
Regulations and rules
(1) The Governor may make regulations, not inconsistent with this Act, for or
with respect to any matter that by this Act is required or permitted to be
prescribed or that is necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying
out or giving effect to this Act.
(2) The Rule Committee for a court may make
rules, not inconsistent with this or any other Act, for or with respect to the
following matters-- (a) any matter that is required or permitted to be
prescribed by rules, or that is necessary or convenient to be prescribed by
rules, in relation to the practice or procedure to be followed to give effect
to this Act,
(b) any matter incidental to, or relating to, any such practice
or procedure.
(3) The rules are to be made in accordance with the Act under
which the court is constituted.
