CRIMINAL PROCEDURE ACT 1986 - SECT 41
How accused person to be dealt with during adjournment
41 How accused person to be dealt with during adjournment
(1) A court may, if bail is not dispensed with or granted to an accused person
for the period of an adjournment, remand the accused person to a correctional
centre or other place of security during the adjournment.
(2) The warrant of
commitment may be signed by any Judge or authorised officer.
(3) A Judge may
at any time, by written notice to the parties, shorten or end an adjournment
if the accused person is not in custody.
