Time for carrying out forensic procedure--suspect not under arrest
40 Time for carrying out forensic procedure--suspect not under arrest
(1) If a suspect who is not under arrest presents himself or herself to the
investigating police officer concerned to undergo the procedure after it is
ordered by the Magistrate or other authorised officer, the procedure must be
carried out as quickly as reasonably possible but in any case within 2 hours
after the suspect so presents himself or herself.
(2) In working out any
period of time for the purposes of subsection (1), any time out is to be
disregarded.
