CRIMES (FORENSIC PROCEDURES) ACT 2000 - SECT 4A
Appropriately qualified persons
(1) A person is
"appropriately qualified" to carry out a forensic procedure if-- (a) the
person has suitable professional qualifications or experience to carry out the
forensic procedure, or
(b) the Commissioner of Police authorises the person
in writing to carry out the forensic procedure, or
(c) the person is
qualified under the regulations to carry out the forensic procedure.
(2) An
authorisation under subsection (1)(b) may be given in relation to-- (a) a
specified procedure or class of procedures, or
(b) a specified person or
class of persons.
