NATIONAL CRIME AUTHORITY (STATE PROVISIONS) ACT 1984 - SECT 27

27 Powers of acting members of the Authority

(1) While a person is acting as Chairperson, the person has, and may exercise, all the powers, and shall perform all the functions, of the Chairperson under this Act and is taken to be the Chairperson.

(2) While a person is acting as a member, the person has, and may exercise, all the powers, and shall perform all the functions, of a member under this Act and is taken to be the member.

(3) The validity of anything done by or in relation to a person purporting to act as Chairperson or as a member shall not be called in question on the ground that the occasion for the appointment of the person had not arisen, that there is a defect or irregularity in or in connection with that appointment, that that appointment had ceased to have effect or that the occasion for the person to act had not arisen or had passed.
