His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Justices Act 1902.
Minister for Corective Services
This Regulation repeals the Periodic Detention of Prisoners
(Short Description of Offences) Regulation 1993 made under the Justices Act 1902. The provisions of that Regulation are being transferred, with minor amendments, to the Periodic Detention
of Prisoners Regulation 1995 made under the Periodic Detention of
Prisoners Act 1981. The transfer is effected by means of the Periodic
Detention of Prisoners Amendment (Penalty Notice Offences) Regulation
1998 made under the same Act.
This Regulation is made under the general regulation-making power (section 34) of the Justices Act
1902.
