The Legislative Assembly of the Northern Territory enacts as follows:

1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Criminal Code Amendment Act 2003.

2. Commencement
This Act comes into operation on the date fixed by the Administrator by notice in the Gazette.

3. Setting fire to crops and growing plants
Section 241 of the Criminal Code is amended by omitting "14 years" and substituting "20 years".
