AUSTRALIAN CRIME COMMISSION (NORTHERN TERRITORY) ACT 2005 - SECT 26

Protection of witnesses from harm or intimidation

    (1)     This section applies if it appears to an examiner that the safety of a person may be prejudiced or the person may be subjected to intimidation or harassment, by reason of the fact that the person:

        (a)     is to appear, is appearing or has appeared at an examination to give evidence or to produce a document or thing; or

        (b)     proposes to give or has given information, or proposes to produce or has produced a document or thing, to the ACC otherwise than at an examination.

    (2)     The examiner may make arrangements (including arrangements with the Territory Minister or with members of the Australian Federal Police or of the Police Force of the Territory) that are necessary to avoid prejudice to the safety of the person, or to protect the person from intimidation or harassment.
