CRIMINAL CODE 1899 - SECT 52
Sedition
52 Sedition
(1) Any person who— (a) conspires with any person to carry into execution a
seditious enterprise; or
(b) advisedly publishes any seditious words or
writing;
is guilty of a misdemeanour, and is liable to imprisonment for 3
years.
(2) If the person has been previously convicted of any such offence
the person is guilty of a crime, and is liable to imprisonment for 7 years.
(3) A prosecution for any of the offences defined in this section must be
begun within 6 months after the offence is committed.
(4) A person can not be
convicted of any of the offences defined in this section upon the
uncorroborated testimony of 1 witness.
