675 Conditional remission of sentence by Governor

(1) In any case in which the Governor is authorised, on behalf of the Sovereign, to extend the Royal mercy to an offender under sentence of imprisonment, the Governor may extend mercy upon condition of the offender entering into a recognisance conditioned as in the case of offenders discharged by the Court upon suspension of the execution of a sentence.

(2) The offender is thereupon liable to the same obligations, and is liable to be dealt with in all respects in the same manner, as a person discharged by the Court on recognisance upon such suspension.
