Effect of repeal of ss 56, 57 and 58
717 Effect of repeal of ss 56, 57 and 58
(1) After the commencement of the Criminal Code Amendment Act 2006, a person
can not be charged with, prosecuted for or further prosecuted for, or
convicted of, an offence against section 56, 57 or 58 or punished for doing or
omitting to do an act that constituted that offence.
(2) However, subsection
(1) does not prevent a person being punished by the Legislative Assembly for
contempt of the Legislative Assembly as defined under the
Parliament of Queensland Act 2001.
