Interim orders
7D Interim orders
(1) If an application is made to the court for a non-publication order, the
court may, without determining the merits of the application, make an order
(an
"interim order" ) prohibiting the publication of identifying matter relating
to the defendant.
(2) An interim order has effect until–– (a) it is
revoked by the court; or
(b) the court finally decides the application.
(3)
If the court makes an interim order, the court must hear and decide the
application as a matter of urgency and, where practicable, within 72 hours
after making the interim order.
