Dealing with fine pending appeal
119 Dealing with fine pending appeal
(1) This rule applies if a convicted person is sentenced to pay a fine.
(2)
An amount paid by the person as the fine, or part of the fine, must be kept by
the proper officer of the court until— (a) the end of the appeal period; or
(b) if the convicted person starts an appeal, the final decision on the
appeal.
(3) Subject to a court order, if the person appeals successfully
against the conviction or sentence, the proper officer must refund to the
person the amount decided by the court on the appeal.
