CRIMINAL PRACTICE RULES 1999 - REG 17
Service of application
(1) An application required to be served on a person must be served on the
person at least 2 clear business days before the day on which the application
is to be heard.
(2) An application required to be served on the director of
public prosecutions or a lawyer (the
"entity" ) may be served by delivering it to, leaving it at, or sending it by
facsimile or electronic transmission to, the entity’s office.
(3) However,
an application mentioned in subrule (2) may be heard and decided by the court
only if it is proved that the application has been received by the entity or
the entity has actual knowledge of it.
(4) In this rule—
"electronic transmission" means a transmission made electronically.
