CRIMINAL PRACTICE RULES 1999 - REG 52

52 Application of part

(1) This part applies to a proceeding for an offence before the Supreme Court, the District Court or a Magistrates Court (the
"court" ).

(2) Rule 53 applies also to the Court of Appeal.

(3) In subrule (1) —

"proceeding" , for an offence, includes—

(a) a proceeding in which a person is to be sentenced; and

(b) for a Magistrates Court, a committal proceeding.
