CRIMINAL PRACTICE RULES 1999 - REG 70
Abandoning appeal or subsequent appeal
(1) An appellant, at any time after starting an appeal or subsequent appeal,
may abandon it by giving to the registrar a notice of abandonment of appeal or
notice of abandonment of subsequent appeal.
(2) The appeal or
subsequent appeal is taken to be dismissed by the court when the notice is
given to the registrar.
(3) However, if the court considers it necessary in
the interests of justice, the court may set aside the abandonment and
reinstate the appeal or subsequent appeal.
