Queensland Numbered Acts Queensland Numbered Acts(1) A person must not publish in a newspaper or by radio, television or on the internet an advertisement or notice that states, expressly or by implication, any of the following, knowing what is stated to be false--
(a) a child has been born who has not been born;
(b) a person who is still living has died;
(c) a funeral for a person who is still living is to happen or has happened;
(d) a particular couple who have not become engaged are engaged;
(e) a particular couple who do not intend to marry have married or are to marry;
(f) employment that is not available is available.
Maximum penalty--10 penalty units or 6 months imprisonment.
(2) In this section--
publish includes cause to be published.
