6—Transitional provision

An amendment to the principal Act effected by a provision of this Act only applies in relation to an offence if the offence is committed on or after the commencement of the provision.

Criminal Assets Confiscation (Prescribed Drug Offenders) Amendment Act 2016, Pt 2

23—Review of Act

(1) The Attorney-General must, within 3 years after the commencement of this Act, undertake a review of the amendments to the Criminal Assets Confiscation Act 2005 enacted by this Act.

(2) The Attorney-General must cause a report on the outcome of the review to be tabled in both Houses of Parliament within 12 sitting days after its completion.

1—Application of amendments to section 21 of Act

Section 21 of the Criminal Assets Confiscation Act 2005, as amended by section 4 of this Act, applies in relation to any freezing order in force immediately before the commencement of section 4 (as well as to such orders made after that commencement).
