71—Power to apprehend persons committing offences on board ships
A police officer holding a rank not lower than sergeant, or a constable, when
so ordered by any such police officer or called upon by the master or chief
officer of the vessel concerned, may—
(a)
enter into and upon a vessel which is in any harbor, port, dock, river or
creek; and
(b)
without any warrant, apprehend a person whom he or she finds drunk or
committing an offence or whom he or she has reasonable cause to suspect of
having committed an offence.
