9—Victim to be advised on role as witness
(1) A victim who is to
be a witness for the prosecution at the trial of the offence should be
informed by the prosecution about the trial process and the victim's rights
and responsibilities as a witness for the prosecution.
(2) The information
should be given (if practicable) so as to allow the victim sufficient time to
obtain independent advice, and arrange independent support, in relation to the
exercise of those rights or the discharge of those responsibilities.
