CRIMINAL LAW (FORENSIC PROCEDURES) ACT 2007 (NO 5 OF 2007) - SECT 12

12—Provision of information

        (1)         If forensic material is obtained from a person by carrying out a volunteers and victims procedure, the person who carries out the procedure must give the relevant person a written statement, in a form approved by the Attorney-General, explaining the right to request destruction of the material under section 39.

        (2)         However, failure to give a written statement under subsection (1) does not affect the admissibility of evidence obtained as a result of the procedure.
