(1) A person
authorised under this Act to carry out a forensic procedure, or a person
assisting such a person, may use reasonable force—
(a) to
carry out the authorised forensic procedure; and
(b) to
protect evidence obtained from the forensic procedure.
(2) Where this section
authorises the use of force to detain a person, that action does not, by
itself, constitute an arrest of the person.
