56—Arrangements with other jurisdictions
(1) The Minister may
enter into an arrangement with the Minister responsible for the administration
of a corresponding law providing for—
(a) the
exercise of functions or powers under this Act by police officers of the
jurisdiction in which the corresponding law is in force; and
(b) the
exercise of functions or powers under a corresponding law by police officers
of this State.
(2) The Minister may
enter into an arrangement with the Minister responsible for the administration
of a corresponding law, providing for—
(a) the
registration in this jurisdiction of orders made under the corresponding law;
and
(b) the
registration under the corresponding law of orders made under this Act.
(3) An order that is
registered under subsection (2) may be enforced in the same way as if it
were an order under this Act.
(4) The regulations
may make further provision with respect to arrangements under this section.
(5) Subject to any
limitations prescribed by regulation, an arrangement entered into under this
section has effect according to its terms.
