CRIMINAL CODE 1924 - SECT 331C
Jurisdiction of Supreme Court to sentence
If a defendant is committed, by justices in accordance with the
Justices Act 1959 , to the Supreme Court for sentence, the Supreme Court has
jurisdiction over the defendant as if the defendant had appeared and entered
the plea to an indictment for the offence in respect of which he or she was
committed.
