(1) A person is not excused from a requirement to produce a document or make a document available under a production order on the ground that producing the document or making it available (a) may tend to incriminate the person or render the person liable to a penalty; or(b) would be in breach of a statutory or other obligation of the person not to disclose the existence or contents of the document.(2) If a person produces a document or makes it available under a production order, the production or making available of the document, or of any information, document or thing obtained as a direct or indirect consequence of the production or making available of the document, is not admissible against the person in any criminal proceedings other than proceedings under section 37 .(3) For the purposes of subsection (2) , proceedings on an application for a restraining order or forfeiture order are not criminal proceedings.
