Where it appears to an examiner that, by reason of the fact that a person—
(a) is to appear, is appearing or has appeared at an examination before the examiner to give evidence or to produce a document or thing; or
(b) proposes to furnish or has furnished information, or proposes to produce or has produced a document or thing, to the ACC otherwise than at an examination before the examiner—
the safety of the person may be prejudiced or the person may be subjected to intimidation or harassment, the examiner may make such arrangements (including arrangements with the State Minister or with members of the Australian Federal Police or of the Police Force of the State) as are necessary to avoid prejudice to the safety of the person, or to protect the person from intimidation or harassment.
