CRIMES (MENTAL IMPAIRMENT AND UNFITNESS TO BE TRIED) ACT 1997 - SECT 25

    (1)     The common law defence of insanity is abrogated.

    (2)     A jury is not entitled in any criminal trial to return a verdict of not guilty on account of insanity.
