Complaints about service providers

S. 49(1) amended by Nos 18/2005 s. 18(Sch. 1 item 113.3), 17/2014 s. 160(Sch. 2 item 103.3).

    (1)     The Tribunal may cause a complaint about the costs charged by a legal practitioner in connection with an application to the Tribunal to be made in accordance with Chapter 5 of the Legal Profession Uniform Law (Victoria) if it considers the amount charged to be grossly excessive.

    (2)     The Tribunal may cause a complaint to be made to the Health Complaints Commissioner under the Health Complaints Act 2016 or a relevant regulatory body about the amount charged by a medical expert or counselling service provider for the provision in connection with an application to the Tribunal of any service if it considers the amount charged to be grossly excessive.
