(1) An assessor has,
in the performance of his or her functions as an assessor, the same protection
and immunity as a judge of the Supreme Court has in performance of his or her
duties as a judge.
(2) A person
representing a person at a hearing conducted by an assessor under this Act has
the same protection and immunity as a legal practitioner has in representing a
party in proceedings in the Supreme Court.
(3) A person appearing
as a witness before an assessor has the same protection and immunity as a
witness has in proceedings in the Supreme Court.
