(1) Despite the repeal of the Children and Young People Act 1999 (the "repealed Act")—
(a) the repealed Act, chapter 10 (Employment of children and young people) continues to apply, with any necessary changes, in relation to a child or young person; and
(b) the repealed Act, section 384 (1) (j) and (k) continues to apply to a decision of the chief executive as if the reference in section 384 to an application to the administrative appeals tribunal for a review of the decision were a reference to an application to the ACAT, and with any necessary changes.
(2) To remove any doubt, the principles applying in relation to a child or young person under the repealed Act, part 2.2 (Principles applying to the Act) continue to apply in relation to the making of a decision or the taking of action under the repealed Act, chapter 10 in relation to a child or young person.
(3) The Legislation Act, section 88 (Repeal does not end effect of transitional laws etc) does not apply to this section.
