Part 10     Transitional—Criminal Code (Controlled Drugs) Legislation Amendment Regulation 2014 (No 1)

100     Meaning of commencement day —pt 10

In this part:

"commencement day" means the day this part commences.

101     Application of amendments

The amendments made by the Criminal Code (Controlled Drugs) Legislation Amendment Regulation 2014 (No 1) apply to an offence if—

        (a)     the offence was committed on or after the commencement day; or

        (b)     for an offence alleged to have been committed between dates—the offence was committed between those dates and either or both of the dates is on or after the commencement day.

102     Expiry—pt 10

This part expires 2 years after the commencement day.

Note     Transitional provisions are kept in the regulation for a limited time. A transitional provision is repealed on its expiry but continues to have effect after its repeal (see Legislation Act

, s 88).
