DANGEROUS SUBSTANCES (GENERAL) AMENDMENT REGULATION 2015 (NO 1) (NO 10 OF 2015) - REG 5

in part 3.5, insert

341     Owner must get living area asbestos contamination identification report

An owner of affected residential premises must arrange for a licensed asbestos assessor to—

        (a)     inspect the living area of the premises; and

        (b)     identify any loose-fill asbestos contaminated dust or debris ( asbestos contamination ) in the living area; and

        (c)     prepare a report about any asbestos contamination found.

Note     If a form is approved under the Act

, s 222, for this provision, the form must be used.

342     Living area asbestos contamination report lodgment

    (1)     This section applies if a licensed asbestos assessor prepares a report under section 341 (c).

    (2)     The licensed asbestos assessor must give the report, or arrange for the report to be given, to the regulator.
