Australian Capital Territory Numbered Regulations Australian Capital Territory Numbered Regulations(1) A supplier must not supply consumer fireworks to a consumer if the consumer does not satisfy the supplier that the consumer is an adult and lives in the ACT by showing identification papers.
Maximum penalty: 30 penalty units.
Note An adult is an individual who is at least 18 years old (see Legislation Act, dict, pt 1).
(2) Subregulation (1) does not limit the circumstances in which a supplier may refuse to supply consumer fireworks.
(3) An offence against this regulation is a strict liability offence.
