Australian Capital Territory Numbered Regulations Australian Capital Territory Numbered Regulations(1) If consumer fireworks are supplied to a consumer, the supplier must give the consumer a receipt (a consumer fireworks authorised receipt ) including the following:
(a) the licensee's name and licence number;
(b) the date of the sale;
(c) the consumer's name and residential address in the ACT;
(d) details of the identification papers shown by the consumer to the supplier;
(e) details of the kind and quantity of fireworks supplied;
(f) the location (or locations) in the ACT of the intended use of the fireworks;
(g) the consumer's signature;
(h) any other information or documents required by the form for a receipt approved under the Act, section 222.
Note The supplier must refuse to supply consumer fireworks to a consumer if the consumer does not produce identification papers showing that the consumer is an adult and lives in the ACT (see reg 277).
Maximum penalty: 30 penalty units.
(2) An offence against this regulation is a strict liability offence.
