FIREARMS REGULATION 2008 (NO 55 OF 2008) - REG 78

    (1)     This section applies if, immediately before the commencement day, a body held an approval (the original approval ) to operate a shooting range under the pre-commencement Act, section 14.

    (2)     The original approval is taken to be an approval (the new approval ) to operate a shooting range under this regulation, part 13 (Shooting ranges).

    (3)     Any condition to which the original approval was subject under the pre-commencement Act continues to apply to the approval but may be amended under the Act.

    (4)     The new approval ends on the earliest of the following:

        (a)     the day the original approval would have ended under the pre-commencement regulation;

        (b)     the day the new approval is cancelled under section 60 (Shooting ranges, cancellation of approval—Act, s 272 (2) (k));

        (c)     the day this section expires.
