105A     Use of certain laser speed measuring devices

    (1)     This section applies to a laser speed measuring device, other than a device mentioned in section 105 (Use of certain digital camera detection devices).

    (1A)     The operator of the laser speed measuring device must ensure that the following operations are done in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions for the device:

        (a)     testing the device at the beginning and end of each shift of the operator by carrying out the following checks:

              (i)     an instrument confidence check;

              (ii)     a calibration verification check;

              (iii)     a scope alignment check;

        (b)     activating the device;

        (c)     operating the device.
