ROAD TRANSPORT (SAFETY AND TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) REGULATIONS 2000 (2000 NO 10) - REG 109

Additional powers of police (NSW cl 75)

(1)       A police officer may request or signal the driver of a vehicle to stop the vehicle.

(2)       A person must not, without reasonable excuse, fail to comply with a request or signal made or given by a police officer under subregulation (1).

Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.

(3)       A police officer may, during a temporary obstruction or danger to traffic or in an emergency direct the responsible person for or driver of a vehicle parked in any part of a pay parking area to remove the vehicle or, if no one appears to be in charge of the vehicle, remove the vehicle.
