(1) The Australian Road Rules (other than rule 2) are to be read with, and as if they formed part of, these regulations.
(2) Subregulation (1) has effect subject to these regulations.
Note 1 The Australian Road Rules are not completely self-contained and need to be read with associated laws of each jurisdiction. Many of the rules provide for ‘another law of this jurisdiction' to define terms used in the Australian Road Rules for application of the Australian Road Rules in the ACT, to permit things to be done in the ACT otherwise prohibited by the Australian Road Rules or to exempt persons in the ACT from complying with the Australian Road Rules.
Note 2 The following table sets out the provisions of the Australian Road Rules for which provision is made by this Part:
