Australian Capital Territory Numbered Regulations Australian Capital Territory Numbered Regulations(1) A person, other than an existing operator, commits an offence if the person operates a heavy vehicle parked on residential land at any time between 10 pm and 6 am.
Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.
(2) An existing operator commits an offence if the operator operates a heavy vehicle parked on residential land at any time between midnight and 5.30 am.
Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.
(3) An offence against this section is a strict liability offence.
(4) In this section:
"existing operator" means the holder of an existing operator's certificate issued under the Motor Traffic Act 1936
, section 150R (Issue of existing operator's certificate) that is still in force.
