ROAD TRANSPORT (MASS, DIMENSIONS AND LOADING) REGULATION 2010 (NO 4 OF 2010) - REG 23

Offences—drive or operate vehicle in contravention of class 2 notice

    (1)     A person commits an offence if—

        (a)     the person is the driver of a class 2 vehicle; and

        (b)     the vehicle is subject to a class 2 notice; and

        (c)     the person drives the vehicle in contravention of the notice.

Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.

    (2)     A person commits an offence if—

        (a)     the person is the operator of a class 2 vehicle; and

        (b)     the vehicle is subject to a class 2 notice; and

        (c)     the vehicle is driven in contravention of the notice.

Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.

    (3)     An offence against this section is a strict liability offence.
