Australian Capital Territory Numbered Regulations Australian Capital Territory Numbered Regulations(1) A driver (except the driver of a tram, a tram recovery vehicle or a public bus travelling along tram tracks) must not stop at a tram stop or on the road within 20m before a sign that indicates a tram stop, unless—
(a) the driver stops at a place on a length of road, or in an area, to which a parking control sign applies; and
(b) the driver is permitted to stop at that place under this regulation.
Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.
(2) For this section, the distance is measured in the direction in which the driver is driving.
(3) In this section:
"road" does not include a road related area, but includes any shoulder of the road.
