Australian Capital Territory Numbered Regulations Australian Capital Territory Numbered Regulations(1) If the road transport authority decides that the use of a metered parking space should be temporarily discontinued, the authority may close the space by—
(a) installing a sign, at or near the space, that displays words to the effect that the space is closed; or
(b) covering the parking meter applying to the space with a parking meter hood bearing the words ‘no parking'.
(2) A driver must not park in a metered parking space that has been closed under subsection (1).
Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.
(3) In this section:
"sign" includes a board, device, plate, screen, words or anything else, whether or not installed with or on a traffic sign.
