68A     Working out expiry of renewed registration

    (1)     The expiry of registration renewed under regulation 68 (the renewed registration ) is to be worked out as if the renewed registration began—

        (a)     for a vehicle other than a seasonal vehicle—the day after the day recorded in the register as the expiry date of the registration that was renewed (the old registration ); or

        (b)     for a seasonal vehicle—on renewal.

    (2)     Subregulation (1) does not have the effect of enabling a registrable vehicle to be retrospectively registered.

    (3)     This regulation does not apply to renewed registration if the old registration expires before 31 March 2001.

    (4)     Subregulation (3) and this subregulation expire on 31 March 2002.
