Australian Capital Territory Numbered Regulations Australian Capital Territory Numbered Regulations(1) The driver of a hire vehicle, a police officer or an authorised person may direct a person not to get into, or to get out of, the hire vehicle if the driver, police officer or authorised person believes on reasonable grounds that the person—
(a) is under the influence of alcohol or another drug; and
(b) is causing, or is likely to cause, a nuisance or annoyance to another passenger.
(2) A person must not fail to comply with a direction under this regulation.
Maximum penalty: 5 penalty units.
