Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) An official of the Regulator may disclose protected information to the Minister.
(2) An official of the Regulator may disclose protected information to a Minister if the Minister is responsible for administering a program, or collecting statistics, relating to:
(a) greenhouse gas emissions (within the meaning of the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007 ); or
(b) energy consumption (within the meaning of that Act); or
(c) energy production (within the meaning of that Act).
(2A) If protected information:
(a) was obtained under a biodiversity law; or
(b) is covered by section 222 of the Nature Repair Act 2023 ;
an official of the Regulator may disclose that information to the Biodiversity Minister.
(3) An official of the Regulator may disclose protected information to a person employed by a Minister referred to in subsection (1), (2) or (2A) under the Members of Parliament (Staff) Act 1984 .
